Instead of supporting one pay solution every one wants to put their name on a pay solution. LG is working on a G pay app. Next we will probably see M pay, Sony Pay, H pay, etc, but we will not have to worry about an O pay because One Plus never settles. The good thing is hopefully this continues to get more companies to adopt wireless pay, bad thing is that we are going to get an over saturation of pay apps.

Oh well that is my vent. Ill leave a more professional post for the home page for mr. @dgstorm

I wish they would all get together and create one APP. This is starting to get annoying.

Man...this really went under the radar. I've heard nothing about it, but it's not surprising. I'm waiting for Moto Pay to be honest. Moto just has a way with making those types of features that I've personally liked.

Android Pay is what I'm sticking with. The rest are superfluous.

Agree, but like that S Pay (Samsung Pay) is backwards compatible with machines that do not have nfc.

I doubt Samsung will be sharing that patent with Google any time soon.

I like that it supports the magstrip readers too. It will be quite some time before those disappear completely.

Where I live everyone has NFC payments already. I never see anyone else using their phone to pay though. They look at me like I'm from another planet when they see me doing it. People were quick to hail Apple Pay as the end all, but it isn't used where I live either.

And another thing...Samsung Pay still isn't available for my phone while other models are already running it. That right there makes me lean towards never using it when they do finally decide my device is worthy enough to get it.

I was under the impression that our generation of devices was lacking some bit of hardware for s pay to work?

Didn't we have this before??/Google pay and some others..then they all folded into Google pay.. Now this crap again??

SPay is more than just the magstrip technology. It incorporates NFC as well. When the last of the magstrip readers fall to the wayside this generation of phones will have the NFC tech to fall back on...which our phones already have.

Google Pay is independent of Google Wallet. I'm not sure why they didn't just fold the two into one app.

Yeah, they went the other way in taking one app and making it 2. One app is a glorified western union/pay pal app and another is the app for nfc pay.

It would seem easier just to maintain one app simply for security reasons. I guess it is job security for some folks at Google lol.
