signal strength indicator

I noticed that my droid2 has less bars in the same area where my BB Tour used to have full signal...

Doesn't seem to affect connection, and when I start to use the phone...the bars actually increase when data is streaming.

Anyone else notice this with a recently purchased unit?

Yeah, I've noticed the exact same thing, it shows less bars than my D1, Pre, Pixi and Eris as well.

Voice and SMS have been fine, but I do notice it dropping into 1X mode more than the others when in marginal signal areas.
