Skype for Android just got better, and covers more devices now. The newest version of Skype, 2.5, is available now, and it brings with it a few improvements as well as video talk capabilities and compatibility with 14 more devices. First, here is a list of the newly added devices (of note is that several of them are Android tablets that have been sorely missing the software):
  • Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1
  • HTC Nexus One
  • HTC Shooter
  • Sony Ericsson Xperia Live with Walkman
  • Sony Ericsson Xperia neo V
  • LG Optimus Black
  • LG Optimus 3D
  • LG Optimus 2x
  • Motorola Photon
  • Motorola Droid 3
  • Motorola Bionic
  • Motorola Xoom
  • Motorola Atrix
  • Acer Iconia
Here's a list of the new improvements to the app:
  • Enhanced video experience
  • Rotate and zoom during video calls
  • Support for Nvidia Tegra2 powered devices
  • Video calling enabled by default on more devices
  • Revised user interface for message history
  • Improved support for Bluetooth headsets
  • New emoticons
  • Support for editing and deleting IM messages
  • Support for joining a call
  • Advertising for non-paying subscribers
It's been a long time coming, but it's great to see it available for these devices, and the new enhancements look useful. What do you guys think?

When you search skype in market place, you get skype or skype for verizon. Any differences?

This is supposed to work for the Dinc2 but I cant ever get it to work. SO I stick with Tango, which always works pretty good for me.
