Skype on Verizon.

Hi guys,

I am in the market for my first smart phone. I am debating on purchasing the HTC incredible, or the motorola xtreme that is claimed to release in july.

Using skype on verizon are you able to do video chats? or just calls and messages?


I know that incredible does not have a front face camera and that the xtreme does. If you can do video chats using skype i would probably wait on the xtreme or the other new phones to be released.

Just text and voice calls.
BTW, the voice quality is very good.
I use it when I'm on the road to talk to a friend of mine in England

Here is what I just dont get.. I installed Skype on Verizon and I had wifi enabled and the thing told me wifi wasnt supported and to turn it off before the program was started..

What kinda crap is it when a VoIP program just doesnt want to use wifi?

So far Skype for Verizon has been a huge disappointment imo. And I know how to set up SIP phones (and have) on Sipdroid and Fring. I have a Skype subscription which I use a lot. But I don't blame Skype. Why? Cuz Skype on AT&T allows 3g and wifi calling. HMMM.....
