Skype Vs. Contacts

I downloaded skype for my Incrediable and I keep having the problem of it changing my contacts phone numbers to the number that rings in when someone calls me from their skype. Has anyone else had this problem and if so have you resolved it? I have deleted and re-downloaded skype but it still does it. It's not all the time but rather annoying because it deletes a contacts number and puts the skype number in place of it.

Also, I have added the skype number to my phone to see if that corrected the problem and it didn't work either.
