What exactly is the problem?
Just checking the easiest thing first....did you go to Settings and then Language and Keyboard Settings...then change the Input Metohd.

To be honest, I'm not really sure about the OP. The title is Skype, but the description of the issue, especially "unable to so on any of the apps" confuses me. I didn't know you could use Skype w/ any other applications. You can however, use the Swype KB in other apps. Meh. I'm probably reading way too much into it.
