Sliding keyboard already loose.

I've noticed that my sliding keyboard comes out of it's "click" position very easily now. Would it be worth it to return this droid and get another one or are they all going to be like this?

well devices with sliding capabilities do become loose over time. Also depends on how fast you're sliding it as well. Considering the Droid has only been out for a little over 2 months, it seems to me that you use the keyboard alot.

I RARELY use it at all.

I just notice when I go to grab my phone sometimes I accidentally make it slide from is flush/click position without even trying.

So you mean the screen moves without it being opened all the way? Like it opens crooked?

I have the same "issue" too. It locks very nice but can easily be "unclicked", especially if you put it in your pocket all the time. As long as it doesn't slide open all the way then it's ok, but I do notice when i take my phone out my pocket the screen gets out of it's lock position. Not a real concern if you ask me, the device is very solid so i'm pretty sure this is a common flaw in most Droids.

No it doesn't open crooked; it just pops out of it's lock position the way you described. Guess I'll just deal with it lol.

Is there anything I can buy to make it sliding in and out more hard?

well i meant that sometimes the bottom becomes the only part really opened so it looks crooked, but it doesn't open all the way.

If you took off the plastic cover on the back of the screen then you could probably put something on it back on. I know someone on this forum is advertising decals, that might help it?

I have that issue to, my phone almost is always opened about 3mm when I take it out of my pocket. However, it never opens enough to actually turn on the display..

Its annoying yes, but.. I think it is goign to happen with any droid.. (I'm on my second phone for other reasons and both have done it.. and I've read about other people having the issue)

same with me barely use still have the sticker on the back but it seems its opening on it own slighty in my pocket a lot more than it ever had
I have used the keyboard maybe 10x

* What sticker is everyone talking about? The only ones i seen on mine and my wife's is one where you remove the battery cover to remove and the one on the screen.

Pretty sure they are not just opening on their own...Pressure is being applied while being carried in the pocket....

Its gonna be a lot tighter when its brand new, im sure there is nothing wrong with it. Its gonna happen over time...
