SlingBox And Slingplayer..Dish Network!

Just bought a Slingbox Solo. I have Dish Network as my satellite provider. Want to purchase the Slingplayer app for my Droid. Anyone aware of a Dish Network Monthly subscription fee in doing this. Someone on the Slingplayer app has made a comment " Monthly Subscription required with Dish Network to use". ????? Anyone have any knowledge on this Thank you.
