Slingbox, Droid, Laptop connection:

I'm using my Bionic to stream video from a home Dish DVR to our RV via the Dish Slingbox adapter.

Would I get a faster connection by using Foxfire to create a wireless hotspot, then use my laptop to connect to the hotspot wirelessly, then stream video content to the TV via HDMI out from the laptop to the TV?

OR, just connect the Droid to the TV with the Micro/HDMI connection and stream that way using the phone without the laptop?

Thanks for you input.

The data speed should be the same since you're using the Bionic for your internet connection either way. However I would choose the hotspot option only because your laptop will be the one using it's processing power to convert the slingbox data rather than your Bionic which is simply providing an internet connection. Seems like it would be less strain on your Bionic so it will last longer in the long run.

Thank you for the input, I was pretty sure it wouldn't make a difference, but thougt it was worth another opinion. Again, thanks.
