Slow 3g speed?

Whenever I run a speed test in my apartment I only get ~300kbps with 3g. I thought that I was just getting bad reception from the location or interference from the building, however I had a friend of mine, who has a Droid X, run a speedtest right after me one day and he was getting 1Mbps or more.

I don't know what could be causing this difference in speed. Anyone have any idea? Thanks.

Same Here

Same here. I just got the Incredible to hold me over until the end of my contract. In my apartment, my Moto Droid always got 700Kpbs - 1.5Mbps, but with the Incredible its always < 400kps. Web is slow, Pandora constantly goes in and out. I'm about to reactivate my D1 if I can't figure anything out.


EDIT: After about 48 hours of activation, the reception and throughput is great now. I get better reception almost every with average of 1.3M down and 800k Up. I'm glad it cleared up on its own because this is an awesome phone.
