Slow Map Download

I've noticed, even in great 3G areas, that maps is bad in downloading map data. It is basically painting the screen as I'm driving.

Anyone else having this problem?

I had that problem last night using the Navigation. It also got lost, but I think that might have been because we were driving under train tracks.

I am having same problem, sometimes when moving map with my thumb, to look around, all i have is the white grid, and it takes forever to catch up.
