Sluggish interface already?

I've had the Droid for about a week, and I'm noticing some sluggishness in menu transitions and other animations that I don't recall having at first. I don't think I've gone app crazy, installed about 12 so far, none of them should be polling the network or burning CPU cycles. The running services menu doesn't show anything unexpected, either. I tried uninstalling the last few apps I got, and power cycling the phone to see if it made any difference, but I'm still seeing twitchy menu animations. Is this all in my head? Is anyone seeing this same issue?

i noticed my interface slowed down when i had a theme installed. most themes basically create a "new desktop" that lays over the old one. i deleted the theme, i lost the icons and clock but it always keeps the wallpaper even if the picture is gone.

are you using one?

Nope, no theme, just a wallpaper. Only running the standard power widget.
