Smiley faces wont show when receiving

I just wanted to see if anyone else had this problem with their droid 2.. when someone else with another droid trys to send me a driod smiley face I get the text and the the lil green ppl.. if anyone knows what's wrong please tell me.

I don't think you can control it on the default Text Messaging app on the D2.

Handcent, however, does have a setting where you can change it. Just go to Settings > Custom Style > Bubble Settings. Scroll down to Enable Smileys, click it and it will ask you if you want to enable them. Select "Ok". They should be enabled now.

If you want Handcent to mimic the look of the default texting app as closely as possible, I have all the numbers for the colors figured out. Same goes for the bubble styles, and time stamps.

Droid 1 has the green robot smilies in txting. Droid 2 got rid of that feature. *sad face*
