Maybe someone can shed some light and provide some explanation for the issue I am having. When I use a text messaging app, like ChompSMS or GoSMS, it always shows the arrival time of the message as 5 hours prior to the actual time. GoSMS has a feature built in to fix this, but I never had this problem on my original Droid. I used the stock app, Handcent, and ChompSMS on the Droid, and never had to correct the message arrival time. There is even an app specifically for this (SMS Fix or something) in the market.
My research shows that this is a longstanding issue even from the G1, but why doesn't the timestamp just show accurately? I shouldn't have to add five hours.
