SMS force close, can receive any SMS

I just flashed my droid to the newest MIUI 1.2.11 because I was having the same issues with the last build. I am not having any issues with any other ROM, I'm just wondering what the fix should be.

I tried:

1. Repair permissions
2. Wipe data/cache 3 times
3. full wipe and reload MIUI

Nothing seems to be working for me. Any insight would be appreciated. Thank you.

Have you tried another sms app?

Feel your pain

I had the same issue with another ROM a few weeks back. the only thing i was able to do was to wipe data and switch Roms

I have tried another SMS like Handcent SMS, still nothing. Its like my phone receives it but I never see it.

Now when I receive a message using Handcent SMS, with regular MMS notifications turned off, I get the text, but the mms process Force closes and so does handcent. This is weird.
