Snesoid help/question

Okay, just popped snesoid on my new Droid X. Works lovely, except for one thing, on donkey kong country three, if you grab a barrel, it is impossible to jump while holding the barrel and then release this. Just play the first level of DKC3, and you will see what I am talking about (where the DKC coin is, and where the bird you have to kill is to get the letter G).

Any suggestions?
