So this is a long shot, but...

I went to the Verizon Store today and played with the Droid X. I completely fell in love with it.

I have the original Droid now and my upgrade isn't until October. I asked them if there was anyway they could give me the upgrade price anyway... they said no. So. Do any of you know of any way to get this upgrade price in my situation (without waiting until October)?

I'll take any and all suggestions.

This may sound like I joking, but I'm not - call to and ask the phone order folks to allow you to upgrade early. Threaten to move from Verizon at renewal if you don't get an early upgrade. Be nice, but persistent. If they totally refuse, hang up and call later. You may get someone that is more accommodating. They have been doing it for a lot of folks. But the odds seem to be much better via telephone as opposed to in store.

The Droid Pro with 1.3ghz processor will be out in November and it will be better than the X (probably)
