soak test + update???

My wife recieved replacement D3 today. Came with system version 5.7.906.XT862 Baseband N.03.18.32P Kernel 2.6.35.7-g5fa4155 xrpk47@il93lnxdroid25#1 which are different than those on the one we are returning. PS the camera is quick to open, Hoper other improvements are discovered too.

Thanks, that's helpful info! But, hmmm...I've been happily running Haschode's AOKP ICS ROM (damn that's a lot of acronyms...). Anyway, other than a few minor bugs here or there, I'm pretty happy with it. If/when we EVER do see that update, it'll be an interesting choice -- stay with AOKP or roll back to HC?

Two interesting updates (apparently broadcast through droidlife) that I found on the Motorola forum:

Droid Life now has a little more information leaked from Verizon about currently pending software updates, including the one for the Droid 3.

According to the leaked information, the Droid 3 software update has been tested and approved by Verizon, but the OTA has been "delayed."

If the leaked information from Verizon on the Droid Life site is correct, you may be able to save your fingers for a day or two

From the bottom of the first page of the leaked Verizon document (from the definitions on the last page, MOTA refers to 4G so this may not be applicable to the Droid 3):

"Note- Due to Motive server upgrade, no MOTA OTA's will be pushed 4/27 - 5/1. No SW updates 11pm 4/27 - 12pm 4/28."

I guess our piddly little "NO it's NOT ICS" update is coming in the next week or two. Good thing I'm already running AOKP!
