Soft keys not backlit?

I have already asked this and have not received a response. Does anyone know how I can get my softness backlit?

yes Sara, the softkeys do have a backlight

They are controlled by the light sensor. I tested this morning with a flashlight. The light sensor is in the V of the Verizon logo...if you're in a dark enough room to even tell the difference, you can cover it up and see them light up. You really can't even tell unless it's dark.
