Software / Hard reset

I performed the factory reset, but want all information wiped off the SD card. I noticed under privacy -> there is an option under factory reset to erase SD card. No one has really said much about this option. Everything I've seen people manage it under SD card settings / un-mount / format. Will both accomplish the same thing?

Thanks Droid-Xer. Had to return the BIONIC, I loved the phone. Bulkiness of the phone and the screen quality kinda turned me away. I wasn't able to test the phone in-store prior to purchase. Was not sure what all is stored on the SD card if anyone knows.
