Lenovo has released their update schedule for devices already released and it's not looking very promising. Marshmallow won't make it to the A7000, A7000 Plus or Lenovo K3 Note until September 2016! That's more than a year after preview builds of Marshmallow were released! Other devices like the Vibe P1 and Vibe S1 will receive the update in June which is a better, but still not great.

These dates are pretty far out and as such can change. This makes HTC's promise of 15 days after a Google release look like a miracle. With Motorola having taken over the Lenovo phone designs going forward you would hope that they could offer a hand with software, enabling Lenovo to get updates out a bit quicker.

With a new version of Android expected to release in the summer of 2016 the fact that we won't see Marshmallow on some of Lenovo's devices until September makes you wonder why do they even bother?

Hi.. New to this forum, though, have been reading and solving android problems from this forum posts.. Thanks a lot to all for your splendid efforts..

Need help for one issue.. For model Lenovo Vibe P1a42.. After registering a fingerprint to unlock the device, we are unable to change the previously set unlock type.. The device keeps on asking "Confirm Saved Pattern" after providing the existing unlock pattern.. Tried to use third party app, with the same result..

Requesting you all to please guide me to solve this issue..
