Someone please help me install themes!

First of all, I am a complete noob when it comes to installing anything on a phone using command prompt. I don't know what I am doing and I was wondering if someone could spoon feed me some information on how to install some themes. I saw a cool custom battery meter and things like that that I would love to have. I have that MetaMorph program...but have no idea where to get "busybox".

HalP! :icon_ banana:

An easy way to get Busybox is Droidrootpro. You can also just install a custom ROM that already has it ie Droidmod or Ultimate Droid. If you search busybox in the forum you will have all the info you need.

I can't think of any ROM that doesn't include busybox. Just find a ROM on here or Alldroid and you should be fine.

Cool so find a rom...then do what with it? Lol...is installation just like updating the droid with "update.zip"?

There are different ways to install a ROM. the update.zip method is popular. You can also use an app called ROM Updater which simplifies things. When you find the ROM you want it will have the instructions with it.

FYI you do need root to install the custom ROMs (unless you do DMUpdater to get Droidmod, it roots for you). I am assuming you rooted right? If you have a lot of questions I suggest going the DMUpdater route. Get it from Droidmod.org
