Something other than SMS popup by AdamK

Is anyone using a different sms popup for text than adamK's version? It worked great since the D1 days, but the new update blows. It's deleting my text, giving me a scroll of old messages, not deleting on close...among other things. (yes I've made all the proper setting changes, to no avail.)

Anyways, looking for something that will light my screen up when a text is received (obviously) and can set notification to specific contacts. That's all i want. free of not, someone help plz.

Have you tried Handcent? It'll do everything you mentioned.

I would also try out Go SMS Pro. Ive been using the app since i got my phone and love it. Hope this helps.

I don't know if this is what you're looking for, but it's pretty neat. If you've ever used the MIUI rom, then you know how that SMS popup message is, well this is very similar to that.
