Sony Shares Their Official List of Xperia Products Scheduled to Receive Android 6.0 Marshmallow

We've seen a number of lists of devices which are more than likely going to get the new Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS update. Some of these lists were official, while a others were leaked. This next list falls into the former category. Sony shared their official list of Xperia devices scheduled to get the latest dessert flavored Android OS:

• Sony Xperia Z5
• Sony Xperia Z5 Compact
• Sony Xperia Z5 Premium
• Sony Xperia Z3+ (And Xperia Z4, we assume)
• Sony Xperia Z3
• Sony Xperia Z3 Compact
• Sony Xperia Z2
• Sony Xperia M5
• Sony Xperia C5 Ultra
• Sony Xperia M4 Aqua
• Sony Xperia C4

Sony tablets which will get Android 6.0 Marshmallow at some point in the future:

• Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact
• Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet
• Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet

The most important detail that Sony declined to share with this list was a time-table for the updates. We will simply have to update you folks when we get that info as it comes to each device.

Question is who will be first and who will be last?

I say Motorola will be first to push MM followed by Sony, Samsung, HTC, then LG. Samsung and LG have a lot of their custom software that they have to update to MM.

Maybe VZW is not wanting to play ball.

If that is the case this is where as a manufacturer you have to start throwing carriers under the bus for this. They have been throwing the manufacturers under the bus for years, especially VZW.
