The HTC One M9 has been criticized by the media as being too similar to the previous generation HTC One M8 and M7 products. In many ways that could be a compliment considering they are beautiful designs. Still, a device maker needs to avoid becoming stale, so it's an understandable criticism.
That same criticism may soon be levied against Sony, if the latest Xperia Z4 leaked images are legitimate. As you can see from the image above (and several more in the thread below), the Z4 looks nearly identical to practically every Sony Z phone which has gone before it.
While it can be argued that it is a great design, it still feels like Sony isn't even trying anymore. What do you think? Could this be a signal that we might soon see Sony give up on the smartphone market?
