Sony's most powerful and feature rich smartphone to date will be launching on August 13th for Verizon Wireless in the US. Sony just revealed the official launch date of their Z4v for Verizon and reiterated its impressive spec list. Here's a recap:
  • 5.2-inch Triluminos QHD display (2560×1440)
  • Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor
  • 3GB RAM
  • 32GB storage (with micro SD support up to 128GB)
  • 3,000mAh battery
  • Quick Charge 2.0 support
  • Wireless charging on both Qi and PMA standards
  • 20.7MP rear camera
  • 5MP front camera
  • Android 5.0.2 Lollipop
  • IP65/68 water- and dust-resistance
How can you not be impressed with this massive list of features and functions. This device ticks off practically all the fan-favorite boxes? The only negative is that the battery is not removable. While that could be a deal-breaker for some, it is trending toward becoming a non-issue in the future.

What do you guys think? Could this be your next flagship device?

I'm still unsure if I want to get this or just save some money and get a z3v.

Yeah... hopefully Sony figured out a way to deal with the excessive heat of the Snapdragon 810.

Most of the things I've read say that it doesn't overheat during normal use, and recording 4k video is usually the easiest way to get it to overheat. I don't even have a 4k TV

My experience with the Z3+ so far agreed on just FC with 4k... I posted on other thread.. Battery seems to be just okay which is a surprise for me.. After reading great reviews on Z3 I expect better results... I'm going to reset phone this weekend so we shall see on next cycles..

Not interested yet.
it might be my next device.

My LG G3 is just humming along with Jasmine ROM and Skydragon Kernel

I was going for 4 gigs of ram...and a bigger battery.. But they had great battery life last year..
