Spare Battery Charging Wisdom

So, I've got the extended battery as well as the normal. I've been using the extended, but am considering keeping the normal battery around as a spare. However, I don't have a battery charger... just a phone.
How do I switch between charging the two batteries without royally effing up my battery stats?

What do you want to track? And why?

I was under the impression that switching between an extended and regular battery would mess up battery life and usage.

I could be wrong... it's happened before.

Seems to me that the stats reset every time you recharge to 100% there's no other history unless I'm mistaken.
