I'm not sure how many of you would be interested in this but... I recently made the following build.prop tweaks to see if I could speed up my 3g connection (since that's what I'll be in most of the time when I'm not Wifi-ing or plugged in and 4g-ing):

media.stagefright.enable-player=true
media.stagefright.enable-meta=true
media.stagefright.enable-scan=false
media.stagefright.enable-http=true

These were all done sitting in the same spot at my work in Santa Monica. Both times I cleared both caches as well. Sorry for how ugly this chart is, but it's the best I could do on these forums.

Thoughts?

Cool, thanks for getting it all into the post. So it looks like the changes did affect speeds. But can you notice a difference when browsing? Or notice any other improvements yourself? when i tried the hack on my d3 i left my girls d3 alone and there wasnt a lot of difference that i could tell when pulling up new sites or anything like that. Another thing i tried is the dns app trick where it sets the dns to google, its supposed to be faster but again i didnt see much noticable difference between regular dns settings and the app's settings.

So the download speeds actually went down on 3G with the MOD? From 1015 to 800?
