Spell check without prediction

Since I updated to GB, I can't use "check spelling" without text prediction. I like the red lines on errors without the pop up text prediction. Any ideas. Spell check in general is not as good as blackberry.

May I recommend you try A.I.type's keyboard (beta or plus)? We believe its text prediction and auto-correction capabilities are way beyond what other keyboards suggest, and it's cool in general (I'm not objective, but that's what our users say, thanks to our iPhone, WP7, Windows8 and other skins, and the customization options):
