Sprint s6

A buddy of mine is still on the s3 and he wants to upgrade his phone, he is able to afford an s6 which go new for around $300 on ebay. He travels alot and wants to know if the Sprint s6 is unlocked or if he was to buy an unlocked s6 would if work on sprint?

No, to both.

Sprint phones work on Sprint, I'm not aware of an unlocked phone that will, difference of networks (cdma v gsm). This is why the resale value of Sprint phones is low. There are MVNO's that work on the showing network that you can activate your own Sprint phone, TING is one.
