SSH to Droid

Hi there Im new to my droid. I had an iphone previously and I could ssh music, movies, apps to my phone from my computer. Now how can I do this on my droid. Do I need to root my phone first, I have DL connectbot but cannot seem to understand how it works. Please enlighten me! :icon_ banana:

ConnectBot is an SSH Client, to connect from your phone to a computer. You want an SSH Server. Check out QuickSSHD, root is optional, you can still write to your sdcard without it.
