Start new SMS conversation without deleting old conversation?

Is there any way to start a new conversation with a contact without deleting the original conversation?

My conversations can get pretty long, but I like keeping them for reference. Wondering if there is any way to start a new conversation with the same contact? Or maybe split conversation by day?

I couldn't find an answer to this anywhere... and I swear I tried. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated? Maybe there's an app I can download?

theres an app called sms backup restore and with that you can make a backup of all ur sms but i dont know how to do individual conversations
