Step-by-Step Instructions?

I did a successful root on my dinc last night, and am now looking into a few things. I have decided to keep the stock sense rom right now, but want to do a few things like custom boot animation and kernel swap

I'm looking for a simplest instructions for each of these procedures. Links would be great. Thanks guys!

Kernels are just flashing the zip file. Boot animation is a d/l to sd and applying in HBOOT

Since I didn't create the file, only the audio, it only took about 45 min or so
