Stock Android apps?

Does anyone know how/where to get the stock Android apps for stuff like Gallery, Car and Media home, etc? The Motorola versions suck. Case in point: Moto's version of Gallery doesn't do picasa sync like the regular one. I did manage to get the 2.1 gallery app through a google search.

Have you tried: Menu>Settings>Accounts>Add account>Picasa ?

Only does uploads, not syncing.
