Stock Droid 1 won't boot into recovery/loops Motorola logo.

Hey! My current Motorola Droid is rooted and nice and perfect with Pete's Gingerbread, except for the fact that the hardware is wearing out. Keyboard is horrible, power button is sunk in to the point where it no longer works, etc. Took my father's old and crisp, like-new Droid 1 (seeing as he switched and got an Evo), thinking I can just root that and transfer everything. It's a dream that the hardware on that phone is just like new, but when I try to load a custom rom, and boot into CW, it would not go through.

Via ROM Manager, it does a normal reboot.

Via X+Power, it goes to the Motorola logo, and restarts the boot, repeats to the MotoLogo, etc etc etc.

Only when I let go will it perform a normal boot. It's a great phone, but without being able to get into recovery, it's nothing to me! Also, it runs 2.0.1, and when it gets an OTA update, it does the same thing as recovery through ROM Manager.

Help me please? I need assistance. Thank you in advance!

No one knows a thing? I've surfed the forums and have yet to find a suitable solution, hopefully someone with more knowledge than I can help me?
