Stock recovery and brightness not working

I really need some help and ive been looking online for at least 3 hours. I got my droid the week it came out and have been following all developments for it. I rooted and installed many different roms, but now i decided i wanted to go back. I installed a Nandroid 2.0.1 back up and sucessfully unrooted the droid because I no longer get a "#" in the terminal emulator. Recently though my brightness button on my power control widget has stopped working and auto brightness will not turn off it seems. I would like to go to best buy to replacd it but I am scared of them booting into recovery and seeing the 0.15 custom recovery image.

So what I am asking is can someone tell me how to reset to the stock recovery image and/or fix my brightness problem. I would greatly appreciate it. Sorry for the length.
