Stock Recovery issue with 602 / 2.3.3

I cannot get in to Stock Recovery.
I am currently on 4.5.602 - 2.3.3 - 13P - Shuji v2.1

Is it safe to flash dxgb_recovery_patch.zip and will this fix my broken Stock Recovery or screw things up?
Also, if you can provide me with correct key/button, hold/press process.

I have tried holding HOME then Power.
Boot image pops up. I release Power and hold Home.
Boot image disapears and the reapears.
I release Home and phone boot normal, no Stock Recovery.
I have tried all key/button combinations I can think of.

Curious if anyone else has been able to fix this using the above patch.
On a side not: WT? broke Stock Rcovery in the first place?
Thanks

You are using the correct buttons as far as I can tell. I had the same thing happen to me where stock recovery was broken. How did you get on .602 in the first place? Because it happened to me when I use the Apex AIO but I have seen reports where the TBH 2 part prerooted has done it as well.

And I am not familiar with that fix. Where did you find it?

I SBF'd back to 340 with RSDLite then used the two part 340-602_update_Part-1 & 340-602_update_Part-2
Not sure where I got these from but I do have TBH app.
Found this patch mentioned in P3droids post here:
Droid X Gingerbread (2.3.3) - Release - PreRooted

I can still wipe in CWR so it is not life or death. I would just like to be able to have it "just in case".
Also curious what would cause Stock Recovery to stop working and how many others have this issue.

Not sure what causes it or how many users. Just have seen it mentioned once or twice here and several times over on DXF. And those files you probably got from MDW, well at least you can, thats where I got them from.

And as far as the fix I do not know. Worst case scenario it doesnt work and you need to SBF anyway. I was the same way with wanting to have stock recovery in case I need it in an oh **** moment. I got it working by using the SBF for .602 then rooting it using the D3 One-Click Method (real easy to use but I think you need ADB to use it).

I think your right JSM about MDW. Thinking of using the 602.sbf.zip and the the D3 easy root script v7.
Just not this weekend, too nice out.... I wana ride!

Thanks for the feedback.
