With TWRP, You may do a full backup , Wipe and restore data after flashing this rom, so you can go back to your original setup

I just noticed this is a Tab Pro and not a Note Pro. It flashed fine, but there's no S Pen. I'm glad it was close enough to not give me a brick! Thanks anyway.

....i dont think this is correct spot to reply .sorry cant find a seperate box to reply..i just rooted my tab pro wifi..intalled the terp recovery..now looking for roms.ive only found 2 roms..this 1 and another on xda..can u plz help me choose or find any other roms before i make my selection on witch to flash?maybe could provide links to the diff roms maybe u could locate more than i have..any help i would be gratefull..thank you

You cannot hard brick. Worse to worse you restore from a backup or ODIN But next time do read

I would suggest using this one. as the one on XDA does not work.
Also I am going to post an update TWRP that actually works. The one posted now, has a /cache issue and apps get messed up. I will post it now

I have never seen this. Please put the XDA link here let me look. There is only one rom for this tablet that works and its mine. (You may be looking at a different one)

Hi Rhcp,
It seems I am royally screwed here with a soft brick. my buttons will not bring the tablet into recovery mode ! . And I can't turn the tablet off at all !.... I CAN at least get it into download mode normally. so I can't flash a zip, but I can flash via odin. - I think. Thought i'd try your "stock TAR to use with odin to restore a brick." It doesn't have a .tar extension, but a bz2.... I figured the idea was to take off the .bz2 so it would be a .tar file and would be recognized by odin. However, when I did that, odin quit. I was using 3.07, so I tried 3.09 .... but got the same result. I have been looking around for the stock rom elsewhere, but haven't been able to find one (!). Anyway, am I doing something wrong here ? any thoughts would be appreciated, I'm at my wit's end !

Hello Larry,

You obviously do not own the model in the description and you flashed the wrong stuff.

You will need to find a stock tar.

Please read before flashing!

Its great to see you workiing on this device RHCP. I flashed your ROM last night and it's running flawlessly. However istallation was a mess. I tried the version of TWRP you have in the OP. You have it as 2.7,1,2 but he download was 2.7,1,0. After doing a full wipe an error came up stating something about could not mount cache. I ended up using odin to flash TWRP from their website. After doing another wipe my cache partition was fixed and I was able to install your ROM. Prior I was running Mrwookie's ROM from XDA. I was based on the Stock British version, your build seems much smoother and faster.
Also, the Stock Tar in the OP is compressed in bz2 that can only be, to my understanding, extracted in Apple (Unix) or linux and Windows does not have a program to decompress the file.
I am looking forward to see your further development of this device as I did on your CM build on the G2. Thank you.

Thanks, Yes, there was an issue with the cache (but the recovery in the op should fix this)

The BZ2 (is a higher compression since its a bigger file) You can decompress it using windows tools.

How are you liking it so far?

Thanks for your work, i unzipped the bz2 and flashed .tar in odin and it crashes..
