How do i get my DROID X to stop an system update download? i just see where its state dowload will accur in so many secs or remind in an hour, what can i do?

Are you rooted? You can use titanium backup pro or AntTek app to freeze the updater. AntTek should be free. Also wipe your cache partition in recovery.
