stop scanning for wifi!

Can anyone tell me if there is a way to stop the GN2 from constantly scanning for wifi? Thus is really killing my battery and seems to be slowing my phone down! Any help would be appreciated...thanks!

When I am out and about and not looking to surf the web I normally turn off wifi. If I find myself where I want to access a secure wifi connection then I turn wifi back on. For the most part that does not happen much. When at home (I work out of my home I keep wifi turned on because I keep my phone plugged into my laptop so the Note2 will always be charged and ready to go next time I leave the house.

I also keep the bluetooth feature turned off while at home. When I go out and about bluetooth is turned on so I can use my headset.

Doing this with both wifi and bluetooth seems to keep the battery from draining too fast.

These items are not draining your battery. Check your battery log under settings to see what is draining your battery.
