Strange notification today

All,

Received an unusual message in my notification bar today. It had a teal star symbol next to it and it was entitled "your Droid bionic has been selected to receive xx$" I believe it was 200.00 but it disappeared when I attempted to view it.

Hoping there isn't any spyware or virus on my phone.

Any suggestions?

You've installed something that has permissions to put ads in your notification bar. I find this to be super annoying, myself, but it's relatively harmless.

Oh, you didn't actually get selected for money.

Haha, yeah. And the annoying thing is you can't remember what app it is! I have the same problem every once in a while! Have no idea what app is doing it to me though! xD

I had the Austin City Limits app on my phone last week, it added a notification in the bar but when I selected it to view it just took me to the app which had no information. So I agree with the app theory.
