Hey guys,

So i took the leap and installed liberty today.

I have a rooted droid x. I downloaded the liberty zip onto my sd card. Went into rom manager and backed up/wiped and installed.

Let me say that Liberty is incredible. It is like having a compeltely new phone. It is blazing fast. I LOVE it.

One issue i have is nothing streams or downloads via 3g OR WIFI
- No Pandora,
- No slacker radio
- No youtube
- No zedge

:( :(

I tried doing *228. I tried rebooting. Internet works in general Like i can get to websites and my email works. But just nothing streams.

Anyone have any insight on what might be causing this? It doesnt make sense! How can i have internet... but nothing streams?

Please help!

Thanks in advance!

I am reading some more and it looks like i am on an older kernel. Arggg.

This is my kernel

2.6.32.9-gfb07997w30471@il93lnxdroid08 #1

I guess i am going to try this:
"if you're on the wrong kernel, then go find the maderstcok zip file and run it. That should get you all caught up. Follow their directions. Once done, re-root and then install Liberty again. You should be good at that point.

This is by far the easiest way to fix your situation, and doesn't even involve any SBF'ing (typical disclaimer of if you screw it up/have a corrupted download you might need to SBF)."

If anyone can enlighten me about what the kernel actually is and if i am going to screw my phone up. :-D

LMAO. ok so after hours of reading... i did the maderstock and upgraded my kernel. :)

Now i just rerooted.

And am reinstalling liberty!

GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH!

I hope this thread helps someone in the future.

YAYYY i am back on liberty. And pandora and everything works.

:-D

What is the right kernel? I have the following kernel and am experiencing the issue.

2.6.32.9-g55626e1w30471@il93lnxdroid08 #1

One thing I noticed in my weekend of trying to figure this out was that overclocking seemed to impact it. If I ran an 'rmmod overclock.ko', I could get the YouTube videos to play. Other streaming apps (like Ted) still resulted in a "Sorry, this video is not valid for streaming to this device"
