Im using Miui 1.1.7.0. It was running good without battery problems on many other theme's, but since i switched to galaxy s theme the battery just drops. It was very sudden to. I was on facebook and had about 50% battery then all of a sudden once i got out of facebook apk. It dropped to 20%. Any ideas why? i mean it didn't happen with any other theme, but this is the only theme i seem to be able to run without random reboots. Also wanted to know what i means when the cpu is lit. When you use the drop down menu.

I can't see a theme causing battery issues. Maybe reset your battery stats?

As you can see im a noob =p.... do you mind telling me how to reset battery stats?

It might be something draining it literally. Usually if I flash a new ROM the stats get messed up. If your not rooted you won't be able to do it. Check under settings, then go to phone info then battery usage. That might give u an idea on what's going on.

Edit. Just saw your running miui. Go into recovery then advanced, then hit battery stats. First Drain then recharge you battery fully though. O and after resetting, then reboot.

My phone is going off the chain lol... I just pluged it in the charger for less then 5 mins and it went to 50%... and how can i go in recovery... im using spr recovery not clockwork. Thank you soo much for your help btw!dancedroid

Yeah sounds like stats are messed up. Unfortunately I've never used spr, just clockwork so I don't know. Just turn the device off then power up holding the "x" button, that will take u into recovery mode. You should b able to navigate from there.
Just remember to charge fully, then reset in recovery , then reboot for the stats to reset.

Spr didn't have the stats wipe in it. To do it correctly without that option, fully charge the phone. Then unplug and don't plug the phone in again until it completely dies. Then fully charge and go into spr and wipe the cache.

Your battery specs should be a little better after doing that.. Other options are swapping kernels and try turning wifi on even if you don't connect or use it.. A while back alot of people used that method to safe battery use in some odd way

Besides Clockwork, you can also use Terminal Emulator.

su
rm /data/system/batterystats.bin

i've tried it all..... always happens to me on miui roms and nothing else.... i just live with it... i know my batterys not "dead" even though it shows 5% for like 2 hrs... its a little annoying going into the red after very little use but whatever as long as everything else works im happy

My batter life got ****ed after flashing 1.14. Are you saying that it's not actually draining, just displaying incorrectly?

I have always had some battery level oddities with MIUI, I have tried clearing battstats but doesnt really seem to make a big difference

Werid seems like im not the only one with these problems. Any fix would be nice to know. I feel like the battery just gets totally drained from miui, or the battery information is just wrongly displayed

yup it still lasts the same amount of time.... plugging it in for 2mins will show the correct reading but it will dip down again
