Super Long GPS Acquiring Time?

My Moto Droid sometimes takes forever to find satellites and start whatever program is running the GPS. Any fixes for this? I've needed it several times while driving and it takes 10 minutes to start working and by then I've driven by where I needed to go. Or using Runstar every morning and there's a huge delay.

I tried searching but the forum wont let you search 3-letter words like GPS...

I have the same issue on my Eris, sometimes . I am trying to figure out if it's related to a running program. Being very impatient, I just restart my phone and it works .
