Swich carriers HTC Thunderbolt

My family has two HTC Thunderbolt's that we got with Verizon and our contract is expiring 3/21/13. Is it possible to use this phone with another carrier? What are the steps?

The only carrier I know of that Verizon phones have worked on is Metro PCS. You'd have to take the phones in and they'll flash it for you.

It's great that the phone can be used with another network but, I don't believe there are any Metro PCS stores, or service in Denver, Colorado. Does any body have any other options?

You'd better check with the carrier to make sure. from my experience, you only need to change the sim card.
