Switch from SPRecovery to Clockwork

I've been using SP since it came out, about a month after i got the phone on the day of release. I want to switch to clockwork for a few reasons, can someone point me in the right direction?

TIA

I believe you need to download RM to install CW. The free version of RM works with Cyanogen but not the other roms, I think. The premium (paid) version allows you to access all roms associated with RM.

Once you install RM flash CW. A word of caution. Any backup made with SPR will NOT work with CW no will backups made with CW work with SPR.

Hope this is helpful

Not sure. Because I'm a member of the RS, I purchased RM so that I could help others. I've only used RM once to install Cyanogen. I believe that when I installed RM/CW it removed the version of SPR that I installed when I rooted.

RM does allow you to install SPR ( alternate recovery option in RM) which I did and it created (or renamed the existing) a new version of SPR.

I prefer SPR so I keep it flashed. I've not updated RM in several months.

Is one better than the other or is it just a preference?

As I mentioned above, I prefer SPR. It has always performed well for me. Others prefer RM/CW and have not had any issues. My sense is that we have assisted more members who use RM than those that use SPR. Just my opinion!

I prefer Clockwork for many reasons, but the best reason I can give is not having to rename anything to update.zip. You can flash any zip regardless of name.

I also want CW so i can delete the battery stats to help reformat my battery as its not showing its full voltage
