i know swype does not come pre-loaded on the droid incredible, but it's still attainable through the app market right? if not, can it be acquired for the DI elsewhere?

i just order my DI today so i'm asking preemptively...

swype is still on beta its not on the market. you cant get it any other way..

i dont know if it comes preloaded but i believe it doesnt. there are other keyboards that mimic the same concept as swype, though

You can't get it online either. The Beta closed in June..SlideIt Keyboard is in the market. It's just like Swype.

i gotta admit, if i'd known i cant get swype on my DI then i may have ordered the DX instead. is SlideIt, or any other alternatives, decent? holds its own against swype?

does anyone know when Swype will exit beta?

id say just email them and ask politely. they probably will give you a time frame

thanks davisa...i knew there had to be some way of getting it on there.

good idea abe21599, hopefully they'll be able to give an estimate.

and reverend...that is exactly the thread i need haha thanks.

Droid Forums does not allow the discussion of obtaining Swype for any reason other then to have it already be part of your Droid like in the Droid 2 or unless you are on their beta team. if you are you can obtain it directly from them. Otherwise we treat it as we would any other paid app. This thread is closed.
