Swype won't recognize my phone...

Now that swype is an open beta, I want to get it onto my non-rooted incredible. I registered, received both swype emails, and clicked the download link in the second email...but instead of initiating the download I was brought to a swype.com webpage that said I wasn't using an android phone. Anyone had this misrecognition problem before? Know how to correct it?
