Sync gmail symbol

Just noticed tonight when you open accounts and click gmail it shows sync contacts, sync gmail and sync calendar as normal but now also has a sync symbol next to the green check box for sync gmail. I have never seen this before. Anyone else notice this?

Just rebooted my phone and the sync symbol is gone. That was strange.
