Sync Ical to Droid X .

Hello! I searched and searched for instructions on how to Sync Ical to my Droid. All I find involves Google. I do not use Gmail and I don't want to add a middle man. So..is a direct sync REALLY not possible?

The Droids sync everything with the cloud (aka Google) as part of their design. If you have the .ics subscribed in Google Calendar, your Droid will have it as well. Basically, Gmail isn't a middleman but the main one. So, no its not possible to do a direct sync to the Droid because it is still syncing with Google Calendar.

i have tried all the instructions i can find and have been unable to sync google calendar with ical, 2-way. it's possible to get goggle to send stuff to ical but not the other way around. very frustrating as blackberry syncs with ical through desktop manager seemlessly.
